Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Housekeeping Services to lead the effective and efficient provision of housekeeping services within assigned service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer housekeeping service integration and coordination
  • Participate in strategic planning and evaluation of housekeeping services
  • Review and evaluate housekeeping service strategies, systems, programs, and outcomes
  • Develop and recommend organizational structures
  • Manage the recruitment, mentoring, and development of assigned staff
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, coaching sessions, and facilitate goal setting
  • Ensure the implementation of current human resource standards and procedures
  • Interpret and administer collective agreements
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and participate on committees
Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration or related discipline plus a minimum five years' recent related managerial experience leading housekeeping services initiatives in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, manage, implement, organize, and problem solve. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including collaborating within a team environment and making presentations to groups. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment. Working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation, and collective agreements. Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
