Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Second Cup. As a key member of our café operations, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and training staff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
  • Operate machinery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
  • 1 to 2 people supervised.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
