About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Big Apple Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and implement processes to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
