As a key member of our bakery section, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience through your dedication to quality and service.
The bakery team is crucial to the overall success of Metro, ensuring the smooth operation of the department while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Your Role as a Bakery Section Associate:
- Prepare, arrange, and display various baked goods according to Metro's standards
- Implement merchandising guidelines (product rotation, monitoring expiration dates, etc.)
- Bake, package, and showcase baguettes
- Understand and uphold sanitation protocols: hygiene, food safety, health, and safety regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests with efficiency and courtesy
- May assist in ordering and receiving goods for the bakery section
- Maintain standards for the layout and upkeep of the back market
- Contribute positively to the store's customer service
- Perform any other related tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
- 0-6 months of experience in a similar role
- Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts
Preferred Skills:
- Consistently courteous and polite demeanor
- Ability to lift, push, and handle merchandise
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments
- Knowledge of and adherence to workplace health and safety standards
