We are currently seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join our Satellite Systems team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electromechanical products and operate SMT machinery.
  • Follow structured work processes with a degree of analysis to select appropriate methods.
  • Prepare and tin components for assembly.
  • Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface mount technology (SMT) components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Operate and calibrate automated inspection and assembly machinery.
  • Handle and apply polymeric materials for component bonding.
  • Install wiring and cables.
  • Integrate modules, flex, and printed circuit boards mechanically.
  • Conduct inspections and validate compliance of tasks performed by peers.
  • Assist in Research and Development initiatives.
  • Undertake all other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a college diploma or secondary vocational diploma in electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Alternative combinations of experience and education may be considered.
  • Proficiency in reading technical plans.
  • Basic understanding of tolerances and geometric dimensions.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Competence in data entry and recovery using computer systems.
  • Experience with production databases.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Proficient in French; basic English skills are advantageous.

Additional Information:

Candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and successfully complete a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
