The Role

We're seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for performing assembly of electromechanical products and operating SMT machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare components for assembly
  • Tin components as required
  • Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface mount technology (SMT) components on printed circuit boards
  • Operate and adjust automated inspection and assembly equipment
  • Prepare, handle, and use polymeric products for component bonding
  • Install cables
  • Mechanically integrate modules, flex, and printed circuit boards
  • Inspect, check, and validate compliance of tasks performed by colleagues
  • Support Research and Development
  • Perform other related tasks as required

Qualifications and Requirements

  • College diploma or secondary school vocational diploma in electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical, or equivalent field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Plan reading and basic knowledge of tolerances and geometrical dimensions
  • Knowledge of standards IPC-A-610
  • Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system
  • Use of production databases
  • Fine manual dexterity
  • Good knowledge of French; basic knowledge of English is an asset

Security Clearance

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
