About the Role

Foothills Truck & Trailer Service Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanic Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to our mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Mechanics and Technicians: Provide support to our mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and trucks.
  • Move Equipment and Materials: Safely move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Signal Safety Procedures: Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public as required.
  • Help Tradespersons and Workers: Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean Machines and Work Areas: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements
