Job Title: Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic Helper to join our team at Foothills Truck & Trailer Service Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Mechanic Helper will assist our experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks. This is a physically demanding role that requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding role that requires manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Large workload and ability to work under pressure.
  • Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) weight handling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots required.
Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty, and the successful candidate must be able to work in this environment.
