At Thumbtack, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way people find and hire professionals for their projects. As a Senior Engineering Manager, Marketing Tech, you'll play a critical role in leading our Marketing Tech engineering team to drive customer growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing engineering organization with a strong culture of excellence and agility, driving growth and innovation across existing and emerging channels.
- Partner closely with marketing leads to understand their needs and priorities, and work with engineering, product, design, and analytics teams to craft a compelling vision and long-term strategy for growth.
- Set the team up for excellence in execution, anticipating and planning ahead for infrastructure needs to support long-term success.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve results, staying up-to-date with innovation and guiding technology evolution.
- Develop and execute on a growth strategy for Thumbtack, building critical infrastructure and systems that power growth and enable the team to move fast.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience building software at scale.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a senior engineering management role, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Good knowledge of growth strategies and experience building and scaling growth teams.
- Passion for leading teams, setting vision, developing leaders, and building highly functioning organizations.
Bonus Points
- Experience at a growth-stage consumer tech company.
- Experience with a marketplace business.
- Experience in building marketing technology (martech).
