Analog Mixed-Signal CAD Engineer - Integrated Circuit Design Automation

In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our integrated circuit (IC) design teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks from process design kit (PDK) management, layout design, verification flow assistance, to the development of scripting solutions. You will collaborate closely with IC layout designers to ensure successful chip tape-outs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the CAD electronic design automation (EDA) environment for teams specializing in analog, digital, photonics, and packaging design.
  • Facilitate design workflows utilizing EDA tools from leading vendors such as Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, Keysight, and Ansys.
  • Create scripts to enhance design processes and workflows using languages such as SKILL and Python.
  • Supervise physical verification tools and decks (including DRC, LVS, Extraction, EM/IR, ESD, etc.), implementing custom modifications as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain the infrastructure for custom PDK development, including custom pcells, models, DRC, and LVS.
  • Install and monitor foundry PDKs, including the creation of automated regression testing protocols.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure the availability and efficiency of computing resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience with scripting languages such as SKILL, Python, or Bash.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard design software, including Cadence Virtuoso and Cadence/Calibre DRC and LVS tools.
  • Experience in supporting design teams engaged in both analog and digital design workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with supporting DRC and/or LVS decks.
