Position Summary

We are seeking a Casual Food Service Worker to join our team at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, B.C. This role involves working a rotating schedule of day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of duties within a Food Service Operation, including portioning and serving meals and beverages, counting and measuring ingredients, washing and peeling vegetables and fruit, assembling beverages and food items, and cleaning of food service areas.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
