We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at JPS Brothers Construction Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, resilient flooring, and hardwood flooring. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces
  • Install outdoor carpets
  • Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Commercial and residential work experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Physically demanding work environment
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 35 to 40 hour work week. The language of work is English.
