Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Banff International Hostel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit and train a team of cleaning staff to ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections to ensure our facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services are required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support to our cleaning staff as needed, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Reliability: A strong sense of reliability and attention to detail.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
