Job Title: Corporate Director, Data Management

At Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Director, Data Management to join our team. This is a temporary (fixed term) position that will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance and control of Administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to Administration, ensuring that it operates within the framework of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead the Administration CIRA committee and end-to-end SOX testing, ensuring that all controls are in place to meet CIBC's operating requirements.
  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure successful team performance.
  • Ensure that an effective and documented internal control structure is in place, with policies and procedures specific to individual activities.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring for the testing and review of FPC, OPC, and LCM results, ensuring adherence to CIBC's control methodologies.
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in coaching and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and provide advice on policies and procedures.
  • Experience in risk management and governance, with knowledge of SOX testing and internal controls.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility to manage work activities.
