About Park West School's After School Program

Park West School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to join our dynamic after-school program team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children during their after-school hours.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate recreational activities that foster creativity, social skills, and physical development.
  • Supervise and guide children in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any relevant information.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and enjoyable program experience for all participants.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of various recreational activities and programming techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Assets
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly rate of $18.28 plus vacation pay. Opportunities for professional development through various paid training programs, including High Five, First Aid/CPR, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, and Fundamental Movement Skills.
