Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position is a multifaceted role that lays the groundwork for a rewarding and dynamic career in finance. The SFA will engage deeply in areas such as financial reporting, liquidity oversight, business strategy, valuations, and forecasting. This role collaborates closely with various finance team members, including the Chief Financial Officer and other departments such as operations and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate consolidated financial reports on a quarterly and annual basis while actively leading the resolution of complex accounting challenges, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Facilitate the month-end closing process, encompassing the preparation, review, and approval of journal entries.
  • Compile, analyze, and present key operational metrics and drivers, demonstrating the ability to connect operational and financial trends and discrepancies.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, engaging with financial institutions to assist in liquidity management, distribution planning, and treasury functions.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of various analyses and reports for senior leadership to aid in strategic decision-making, including monthly and quarterly reports for the board of directors.
  • Participate in the forecasting and business planning processes.
  • Support the annual valuation process through comprehensive reviews of financial models and long-term assumptions, as well as the preparation of presentations for management.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and create presentations regarding financial and operational outcomes, while supporting special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in an accounting role, demonstrating a history of high performance.
  • Experience in advisory or corporate finance at a reputable firm and/or project accounting is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling and the use of complex functions.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, with the ability to create impactful presentations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential, with a proven ability to produce management-ready materials.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven and proactive in managing workload and pursuing professional growth.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
