Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Roche. As an Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our customers' instrumentation on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs instrumentation on site

• Manages individual car stock of spare parts and acquires spare parts as required

• Provides IT (hardware and software) first line support and service to customers

• Interfaces directly with Technical Support Specialists and Technical Support Representatives

Accountabilities

• Service Support:

  • Provides service support for assigned customers
  • Assists Roche Care Centre Technical Support Specialists and selected Technical Support Representatives
  • Participates in Service meetings as requested
  • Backs up other Support Representatives during heavy workload
  • Performs instrumentation QC in head office and prepares instrument shipment

• Preventive Maintenance & Technical Service Bulletins:

  • Performs preventative maintenance for assigned customers
  • Completes technical service bulletins on assigned customers

• Administrative duties:

  • Completes Service Report Orders
  • Completes other administrative duties (e.g. expense management system, Timesheets)

Requirements

• Diploma of collegial studies in electronic technology or community college Specialty in BioMedical Engineering

• Knowledge of instrument computer, laptop, and personal computer

• 2-3 years of service experience in diagnostics instrumentation troubleshooting

• Must be available to work on Standby and flexible to travel

• Minimum knowledge of IT systems & Network infrastructure
