Autism Ontario is seeking a skilled Program Facilitator to join our West Region team. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a key role in developing and implementing programs that support individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
About the Role- Collaborate with the Region's Program and Volunteer Coordinator to oversee regional programs and ensure they align with Autism Ontario's policies and procedures.
- Support volunteers in achieving identified goals and develop various regional programming initiatives.
- Research, propose, and execute activities for in-person and/or virtual programming.
- Assist with promoting programs in partnership with Regional staff.
- Provide support and assistance for regional events.
- Support Autism Ontario's volunteer program, assisting with recruiting and attracting volunteers for events and committees in the assigned region and surrounding areas.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Autism Ontario staff to develop and implement policies, procedures, and working practices.
- Support and participate in the development of the Annual Plan and Budget with the Regional Program and Volunteer Coordinator.
- Provide monthly reporting and feedback around regional programming in collaboration with the Regional Program and Volunteer Coordinator.
- Maintain database operations as it pertains to the program.
- Evaluate and monitor program delivery, including maintaining continuous records, updating relevant databases, and communicating with Provincial office.
- A degree/diploma in a related human services field (SSW, Volunteer Management, etc.)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 1-2 years experience supporting individuals with Autism
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with program development
- NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certificate
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Experience in workshop facilitation, social group work/community organizing is an asset
- Experience supervising volunteers in a non-profit setting is an asset
- Ability and means to travel; a valid driver's licence is required
- Available to work evenings and weekends as required
- Lives within their (or is willing to travel frequently) to their assigned region
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
- Must be proficient with various computer programs including data base management, email, Microsoft 365 applications and have familiarity with social media and other technology tools and approaches
- Demonstrated commitment to principles of social justice, neurodiversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, anti-Black racism, anti-ableism
