Job Description

BMO is actively seeking Senior Project Managers for a contract role.

Project Managers are expected to spearhead initiatives across various project categories:

  • Acquisition
  • Corporate Services
  • Cyber Security

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide IT projects initiated by the Accountable Executive, which may include launching new products and services, extensive application development, systems integration, business acquisition and integration, operational efficiency enhancements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Direct large-scale, intricate projects often involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and matrix partners.
  • Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering assigned strategic projects, ensuring all business, operational, and IT deliverables are met.
  • Manage all facets of the project lifecycle, collaborating with matrix business, corporate, and IT partners to ensure all project processes are executed as required.
  • Build and maintain day-to-day relationships and communications with stakeholders at various organizational levels, including executives, as well as other internal and external resources.
  • Ensure outcomes are of the highest quality with a clearly defined scope and measurable business benefits.
  • Establish a clear connection between the business vision/context and the project scope and objectives.
  • Lead regular core team and key governance meetings to assess progress with essential stakeholders.
  • Represent the project or program's interests in various governance and inter-departmental forums.
  • Meticulously manage project scope to ensure commitments are fulfilled within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Define and monitor project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an integrated delivery plan.
  • Develop or ensure the creation of project documentation, including charters, integrated plans, resource plans, contingency plans, and related PM artifacts, while adhering to applicable enterprise standards.
  • Monitor and control project progress, providing recommendations and adjustments to the Accountable Executive and issuing periodic project status updates.
  • Contribute to enhancing best practices within the project management community to promote consistency, transparency, and execution excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Acquisition Experience: 5 years (Desired)
  • Project Management Experience: 8 years (Required)
  • Banking Experience: 5 years (Desired)
