About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Canada Workday ULC. As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for managing complex HCM and ERP implementations, with a strong focus on Financials/HCM or Payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project manage one or more Workday Financials/HCM/Payroll implementations concurrently, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop a proposal/SOW.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources working on your implementations.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Manage and measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, such as project management software.
  • Perform risk management to collaboratively minimize and manage project risks proactively with customers.
  • Work with the client project manager to identify and resolve issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings, providing updates on project progress and status.
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices, and provides guidance on implementation best practices.
  • Be a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with Sales and other internal stakeholder groups.
  • Identify opportunities to position other service offerings, such as consulting services or training programs.
  • Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation, and provides feedback on the implementation process.
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Product Support, ensuring a smooth handover.
  • Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW, and presents client with change orders in the event they're asking Workday to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in managing complex HCM and ERP implementations. The ideal candidate will have:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of managing complex HCM and/or ERP implementations, with a strong focus on Financials/HCM or Payroll.
  • 3+ years deploying Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Ultimate Kronos, or similar software.
  • Prior experience working for a professional services consulting firm or supporting HCM/ERP implementations within the customer.
  • Previous experience with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% - 50% of the time.
Other Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in French and English language preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience managing full project lifecycle, including P+L ownership is a plus.
  • Strong ability to support HR transformation and organizational change management initiatives within the context of a technology deployment.
  • Previous SaaS sales experience is a plus.
  • Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
