Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Parts Technician to join our team at Edge Industrial Supply Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by answering telephone calls and relaying messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Clean and maintain the office, supply area, or warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Sales and Marketing: Conduct sales calls to promote our products and services, and set up displays of retail parts and accessories to showcase our offerings.
  • Order Fulfillment: Identify, label, and catalogue items received, and issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records on the inventory control system, and prepare and track work orders.
  • Supply Chain Management: Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies, and process incoming requisitions.
  • Warehouse Operations: Receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials, and store items in the warehouse, tool room, or supply area.
  • Sales and Revenue: Sell spare and replacement parts to customers, and maintain a high level of sales and revenue growth.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in inventory control software, MS Office, and SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD).
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a remote location, with a retail business environment. The work site environment is dusty, and the work setting is physically demanding.
