Job Title: Poll Worker

Élections Canada is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to work as Poll Workers during the upcoming election. As a Poll Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of voting stations and providing excellent service to electors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain voting stations, including setting up voting equipment and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Verify electors' identification and ensure they are eligible to vote.
  • Issue ballots to electors and provide instructions on how to cast their votes.
  • Count and record votes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the electoral process.
  • Provide excellent customer service to electors, responding to their questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other Poll Workers and Elections Canada staff to ensure the successful operation of voting stations.
Requirements:
  • Be a Canadian citizen.
  • Be at least 16 years old on polling day.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have basic math skills and be able to accurately count and record votes.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
