Poll Worker

Élections Canada is seeking dedicated individuals to work as poll workers during elections. As a poll worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of polling stations and providing excellent service to electors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and manage polling stations
  • Verify electors' identification and ensure they follow voting procedures
  • Provide information and assistance to electors
  • Count ballots and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Be at least 16 years old on polling day
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work independently
Remuneration:

$18.25/hour plus overtime paid at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate worked in excess of eight hours in one day
