Position Overview:

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for executing various warehouse activities, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and operating forklifts. This role is essential in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Compensation: $24.00 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour premium

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
  • Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
  • Manage daily paperwork associated with warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines as outlined in the contract.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year or more of relevant warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift Operator's License is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automated pick and pack systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with RF scanners and MS Office is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Punctuality and a good attendance record are essential.
  • Initiative and capability to work with minimal supervision.
