We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations, using measuring tools and software.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality products.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for clients and stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services.
- Install and maintain windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware in our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other computer systems to create designs, models, and simulations.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate our facilities, including residences and wooden structures, to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant experience in carpentry and plant maintenance.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Industrial setting experience, with a strong understanding of maintenance and repair procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
