Carpenter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Mogno Carpenter. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites
- Estimating costs and materials
- Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Portuguese language proficiency
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy and dusty environments, outdoors and in construction settings
- Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, working with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
- Own tools and equipment including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat and safety glasses/goggles
- Personal suitability includes accuracy, client focus, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, punctuality
- Permanent work term
- 40 hours per week
