As a Wealth Management Advisor at BMO Financial Group, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored financial and investment strategies that align with the unique needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and investment advice, ensuring solutions are in the best interest of the client.
  • Engage proactively with both new and existing clients, conducting needs-based assessments to foster loyalty and uncover immediate and future opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships within the community to enhance BMO's business growth.
  • Generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products through insightful customer conversations.
  • Support the achievement of sales and performance objectives.
  • Respond to client investment inquiries, aligning product offerings with their financial goals and referring them to appropriate partners when necessary.
  • Analyze data and strategic problems to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Introduce clients to innovative investment strategies, assisting them in setting and achieving their financial goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal investment products and industry trends, integrating this information into client discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards while protecting the Bank's assets.

Qualifications:

Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience along with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional qualifications include:

  • Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement
  • Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC)
  • Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II)
  • Canadian Securities Course - Licensed to sell mutual funds excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial industry
