Wildfire Prevention and Operations Role

  • Collaborate with the Wildfire Prevention Officer to develop and implement wildfire prevention strategies
  • Execute various elements within the education, engineering, and enforcement programs to prevent and manage wildfires
  • Conduct ongoing program surveillance and training to ensure effective wildfire prevention and management outcomes
  • Participate in wildfire suppression and pre-suppression activities at the Fire Centre to ensure public safety
  • Be an active member of Incident Command Teams, task forces, and committees to coordinate wildfire prevention and management efforts
  • Support forest management and enhance forest health to reduce wildfire risks
