Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Estimator to lead our estimating team and drive the development of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate estimates of construction costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead the estimating team in the preparation of bid documents, including tendering procedures and contract analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in residential and industrial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimates, with a focus on cost control and project profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as on-screen takeoff and Bluebeam software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
