We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at SKYGRiD. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing estimates of probable costs for construction projects, analyzing tenders, and advising on tendering procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates of probable costs for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend tender awards to management.
- Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of estimates, tenders, and project costs.
- Communication: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the estimating team to ensure high-quality estimates and efficient project delivery.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in large residential and industrial construction projects.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to use on-screen takeoff and Bluebeam, and familiarity with AutoCAD architecture and Revit is a benefit.
- Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
