Teaching Opportunity at Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team at Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf, a secondary program in Milton. The successful candidate will have experience teaching Deaf or hard of hearing students and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of Deaf students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with students and colleagues
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Requirements:
  • Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Deaf Specialist/Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing qualification
  • Intermediate/Senior Division qualifications required
  • Senior Sciences, Math, or English qualifications preferred
