Job Summary:The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitoring life safety systems and utilities, and assisting in the administration of the department in compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state, and national codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the Maintenance team members, including interviewing, scheduling, training, developing, coaching, and counseling.
- Implement and schedule property and equipment preventive maintenance programs to ensure safety, convenience, and satisfaction of all guests, managers, and employees.
- Prioritize service requests, schedule, and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, and convenience.
- Test and examine life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times.
- Monitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.
- Review purchase requests and monitor expenses to ensure budgeted goals are met or exceeded.
- Assist in the administration of the department by preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records, or other documentation.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of the Building Management/Engineering profession, including supervisory skills and ability to investigate and analyze current activities and/or information in a specialized field.
- Excellent hearing, vision, speech communication skills, comprehension, and literacy required.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying weights up to 25 lbs. and greater, for all hotel equipment and machinery.
- Frequent bending and/or kneeling throughout the day for repairs and maintenance of hotel property, equipment, and machinery.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
