Job Title: Maintenance Manager - Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo

Hotel Equities, a leading hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with hotel staff to resolve maintenance-related issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
