Senior Lending Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in the execution of essential lending operations processes, encompassing loan administration and servicing functions. The successful candidate will manage payments, transactions, service requests, and administrative duties while ensuring stakeholder inquiries are addressed within established service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the efficient execution of routine lending operations tasks, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance workflow and promote effective operational processes.
  • Prepares and organizes data for regular and ad-hoc reporting, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Handles administrative responsibilities, including documentation management and processing service requests.
  • Acts as a resource for junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of transactions and service requests, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new processes and systems, driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and risks associated with lending operations.
  • Supports training initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyzes operational issues and formulates appropriate action plans.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, along with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in relevant systems and technology.
  • Strong understanding of the business unit's key products, services, and operational controls.
  • Familiarity with risk and regulatory requirements within the lending sector.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
