Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Foreperson to join our team at Sequoia Landscape Services - Grand Sequoia Services Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a small team to perform various maintenance tasks, including gardening, pruning, planting, mowing, line trimming, hedging, blowing, and spreading mulch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to complete maintenance tasks within estimated time frames and budgets
  • Provide progress reports to management, including client concerns, problems, and delays
  • Work collaboratively with management to facilitate job actions, installations, deliveries, and daily responsibilities
  • Maintain a friendly and personable attitude, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Communicate effectively with crews and clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Standards
  • Remain flexible with scheduling and site placements, and work in variable weather conditions

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • High level of native plant ID and in-depth knowledge of seasonal garden requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Lead Hand/Foreperson position with a comprehensive knowledge of assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Time Management skills, working well and efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with a variety of equipment, materials, and tools, such as lawnmowers, pruners, hedgers, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicable certification (e.g. Red Seal)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, renderings, blueprints, and specifications
