About the Role
A reputable architectural firm utilizing Revit seeks an experienced contract specialist to enhance their team of contract administrators. This role involves conducting weekly site inspections and managing contract documentation for designated areas. Collaborating closely with Partners and Project Architects, the specialist will ensure that technical standards are upheld at the highest level.
ResponsibilitiesMinimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience; qualifications in Architectural Technology or a Bachelor of Architecture; preference for candidates with CCCA training from recognized institutions or OAA registered professionals - Proficient in RevitPossession of a valid driver's license; willingness to travel to project sites weekly; occasional overnight stays (expenses covered by the employer)Experience in overseeing medium to large-scale projects (valued between $20-$120 million) from construction initiation to project close-out; submission of a PDF portfolio of projects completed in the last 5 years, preferably in long-term care, senior living facilities, educational institutions, or large mixed-use developmentsStrong understanding of OBC and building science principles; capability to provide design insights and foresee potential design challenges, suggesting alternatives that align with design requirementsFamiliarity with CCDC contract documentation, including CCDC-5B; experience across various project typesEnsure the production of high-quality drawings and documentation to minimize rework, errors, and omissionsExcellent problem-solving skills; adept at managing challenging personalities; capable of addressing evolving design requirements while adhering to budget and timelinesProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and project management software such as Wrike; experience with cloud-based contract administration tools like Rform
