Job Description

Mafna Air Technologies Inc is seeking a highly skilled Controls Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create software programs according to sequence of operations as per plan and specifications, generate controls drawings, electrical power drawings/circuits.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, including problem-solving and support during unit installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of Sequence of Operations for Heating, Cooling, Heat Recovery & Dehumidification Equipment, BACnet, Modbus, and AutoCAD drawing software.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues during equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Controls or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of controls related to HVAC & R systems.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (reading specifications, communications, etc.)
  • Ability to generate AutoCAD drawings for Electrical Panels and Control Schematic Drawings
  • Knowledge of air handling units, including fans, variable frequency drives (VFD), actuators, temperature, humidity & pressure sensors, and control devices
  • Experience in start-up, testing, and commissioning of equipment at client job sites
  • Own transportation for traveling to job sites
