About the Role

Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President of Digital Transformation & CIO will collaborate with internal leaders and external stakeholders to drive transformative change and support the hospital in integrating the necessary tools and technologies to excel in a digital landscape.

Utilizing extensive experience in leading comprehensive digital strategy development and execution, the incumbent will champion a strategic vision for the current and future state of QCH's digital and technological solutions. A deep understanding of enterprise and cybersecurity risks associated with Information Technology and digital systems is essential. The individual will be tasked with ensuring a robust cybersecurity framework and an evolving strategy to safeguard the hospital's digital assets.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the incumbent will play a vital role in aligning hospital-wide policies, priorities, and strategic initiatives with the institution's mission, vision, values, and the 5-year True North strategic plan. As an inspiring and empathetic leader, you will guide a diverse team of Technology Services professionals responsible for delivering digital solutions, IT services, and clinical informatics, including the enhancement of our electronic medical records, cybersecurity initiatives, and the modernization of our network and business intelligence tools.

Queensway Carleton Hospital seeks a distinguished and respected senior-level leader in digital and technology who is enthusiastic about healthcare and possesses a proven history of implementing innovative digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to connect with and engage multiple stakeholders, demonstrate effective communication and active listening skills, manage and deliver on concurrent and complex priorities, and act as a change agent.

While the primary focus of this role is on technology-driven business transformation and effective Information Technology management, additional responsibilities may be included within the VP portfolio based on the unique qualifications and expertise of the successful candidate.
