Production Cost Estimator

Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the VICE-PRESIDENT, the PRODUCTION ESTIMATOR will play a crucial role in examining and interpreting the specifications outlined in project plans to formulate accurate quotations. This position requires close collaboration with both the sales and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications and plans to prepare comprehensive bids;
  • Assess costs associated with materials, labor, and equipment based on project documentation;
  • Develop production strategies while ensuring material availability;
  • Facilitate communication with the sales teams across different regions;
  • Input and manage production order data within the ERP system;
  • Oversee production orders and address urgent requests with the production team;
  • Conduct subcontractor research and share relevant plans and specifications;
  • Evaluate and analyze proposals from subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Stay informed about emerging competitive trends;
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of structural plan interpretation;
  • Establish and maintain systems for submission, monitoring, and reporting;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Background:

  • DEP in Industrial/Building Design;
  • College Diploma in Building Estimating and Valuation Technology;
  • Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required;

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced proficiency in the MS-Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), particularly in Excel;
  • Familiarity with integrated software applications;
