About the Role

The Maintenance Assistant Float is a key member of the facilities team at Retirement Concepts, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our communities. As a Maintenance Assistant Float, you will be the first point of contact for maintenance-related issues and will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades to equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors, responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training sessions and workshops as needed to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the facilities team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1-year work experience in a maintenance or facilities-related role.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Basic level of computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize schedule of maintenance and workload planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
