Job Title: Teradata Platform Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Teradata Platform Administrator to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Teradata systems, including backup and recovery, database performance tuning, and system security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backup and Recovery: Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Database Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data processing and query execution.
  • System Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect our Teradata systems from unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • System Administration: Perform routine system maintenance, including software updates, patching, and configuration changes.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience with Teradata systems, including TTU, Teradata Studio, and BTEQ.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Databricks Administration and Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Python programming language.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
