Primary Teacher Position

The Salt Spring Centre School is a certified K-7 independent school nestled in 70 acres of meadow, forest, and farm on Salt Spring Island. We are seeking a qualified and passionate educator to join our team as a full-time Primary Teacher.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering BC curriculum with a focus on small class size, relationship building, creative arts, and exploratory outdoor play. Our students are encouraged through self-expression, problem-solving, and social-emotional learning.
Qualifications and Requirements- Valid BC teaching certificate
- Interest and expertise in K-3 learning
- Training in Primary literacy and numeracy pedagogy
- Understanding of and commitment to social-emotional learning and youth mental health
- Experience working with neurodiversity
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Health care
