Agricultural Sales Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Sales Representative to join our team at the Agro Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building relationships with members and customers, executing in-store sales and on-the-road sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with members and customers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Execute in-store sales and on-the-road sales to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Provide legendary service to customers through various communication channels
  • Collaborate with the Agro Team Leader to support the retail operational team and coordinate load out and delivery of products
  • Assist with the management and care of the warehouse facilities, ensuring all regulatory and reporting requirements are met
  • Ensure procedures for receiving, ordering, merchandising, and inventory control are being followed
  • Support adherence to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements
  • Support a culture of safety and maximize operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the agriculture sales and/or retail industry; Co-operative Retailing System experience is an asset
  • Passion for all aspects of the agriculture industry, including livestock feeds, grain handling equipment and storage, ag equipment, and an understanding of crop protection, fertility, and agronomy practices
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work additional hours during seasonal peaks; annual day travel expectation is 30%
  • Savvy with databases and Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to become an expert at various point-of-sale systems and their reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license; 1A or 3A license and Ag designation(s) are an asset
