Job Description

CIMA+ is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Modeler to contribute to our team of multidisciplinary professionals working on water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will utilize, build, and calibrate hydraulic models to support engineering projects, infrastructure studies, and environmental assessments for municipal water and wastewater projects in Ontario.

The candidate will integrate into our passionate water/wastewater team that fosters learning and sharing of technical ideas with peers. CIMA+ has an exciting wide variety of projects that include distribution system optimization, pump station design, master planning, transient analysis, demand forecasting, and supply planning among others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply water and wastewater hydraulic models to support project deliverables
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to provide technical support for water and wastewater projects
  • Work with junior staff and other intermediate engineers to deliver project results
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and drawings
  • Participate in the preparation of fee estimates and proposals
  • Communicate with municipalities, regulators, clients, and other agencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Advanced degrees are considered an asset
  • Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) licence or must be eligible to obtain within one year
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with water and wastewater infrastructure design and hydraulics
  • Experience with water and wastewater hydraulic modeling software
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with ARCGIS is considered an asset
  • Valid class G drivers' licence with access to a vehicle
