About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Ideal Glass Hardware Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Operate and maintain manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet quality standards through visual inspection and testing.
  • Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding and fabrication.
  • Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding processes and techniques.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and heavy lifting requirements.
  • Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a client-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing production demands and priorities.
