The selected candidate will leverage customer focus and analytical insights to devise innovative solutions that propel their business forward. The Vendor Manager will have the chance to collaborate with various internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors). They will employ effective communication skills to work alongside cross-functional partners, including site merchandising, purchasing, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to enhance performance for our vendor partners.

This role offers the opportunity to conduct in-depth analytical assessments that inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, the candidate will be involved in driving category expansion. Vendor Managers enjoy a unique opportunity to work at one of the most innovative online retailers while developing robust functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, purchasing, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is accountable for leading essential categories and brand relationships within the Video Games sector and fostering business growth. Responsibilities include establishing strong vendor and brand partnerships, negotiating contracts, managing selection and catalog, optimizing inventory, generating forecasts, launching products, setting pricing, and performing detailed analyses to identify growth opportunities for both the vendor and the company. As the owner of the P&L, you will also collaborate cross-functionally with other product, marketing, and operations teams to enhance customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with a focus on negotiations and delivering results
- Proficiency in Excel and experience extracting data through various reporting tools to influence business decisions
- Background in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotions, inventory management, and product development
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience managing extensive data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process enhancements

- Familiarity with the Video Games industry and customer dynamics
