Position Overview:
The Specialty Gases Specialist plays a crucial role in driving sales and fostering relationships with key clients. This position requires a proactive approach to maintain and expand our market presence in the specialty gases sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance sales relationships with key accounts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within both existing and potential accounts.
- Support the General Sales Team through effective communication and collaborative sales efforts.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities and respond to competitive pressures.
- Adhere to Messer's pricing strategies while developing a comprehensive pricing management system.
- Monitor market pricing intelligence and customer pricing requirements to inform internal pricing and product strategies.
- Gain insights into competitors' capabilities, market shares, and strategic initiatives.
- Create tailored service selling programs to improve our offerings in key accounts.
- Ensure all sales activities prioritize the safety and environmental standards of Messer and its clientele.
- Collaborate with the Canadian marketing team on new initiatives as necessary.
- Achieve and surpass sales objectives across all Specialty Markets, including Scientific, Packaged Chemicals, and Medical sectors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in selling specialty gases and related equipment, preferably within an industrial or specialty gas environment.
- A background in Chemical or Engineering disciplines is preferred.
- Outstanding presentation and communication abilities.
- Strong time management and team collaboration skills.
- Proficient analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
