Lead Audit Strategist

The Lead Audit Strategist is a high-level management role tasked with overseeing a vital and intricate segment within the Internal Audit division, in collaboration with the Audit team. The primary aim of this position is to formulate and implement a comprehensive Audit Strategy, while directing complex audit operations for a specific segment of the organization at a regional or national scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Internal Audit experts, recruit personnel, foster professional growth, cultivate effective teams, and oversee budget management
- Produce audit documentation, validate Internal Audit and Regulatory issues, and generate reports for business monitoring and governance committees
- Supervise evaluations for all categories of audits, including the most intricate, and review and endorse Business Monitoring Quarterly Summaries
- Engage in significant business projects and offer proactive guidance and support on change initiatives
- Introduce innovative auditing methodologies and technologies, while remaining informed on the latest trends in the Audit sector to enhance the Audit function
- Identify solutions for a range of complex control challenges, employing advanced analytical reasoning and sound judgement
- Examine report outcomes, recommend actions when necessary, and propose inventive solutions to risk and control challenges
- Collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors to address broader corporate emerging issues
- Effectively assess risk during business decisions, safeguard the reputation of the firm, clients, and assets, ensure adherence to laws and regulations, and supervise others to uphold high standards
Basic Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in a comparable role
- Preferred certifications such as CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or similar
- Proven track record in business, functional, and personnel management
- Capability to deliver high-quality work within stringent timelines
- Established experience in deploying audit tools and techniques
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a diverse environment with impartiality
- Strong negotiation capabilities
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
- A Master's degree is preferred
