Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Collect and process blood and other biological samples for testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Interpret test results and report findings to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure laboratory accuracy and reliability.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
- Recent experience in a core laboratory environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
- Familiarity with routine automated equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team.
- Ability to work independently during off-hours.
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Hours: Monday to Sunday, all shifts, days, evenings, and nights. Salary: $ - $ per hour.
