As a Seasonal Customer Engagement Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering an atmosphere that encourages genuine interactions between employees and customers, aligned with our mission of spreading joy. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the store, starting early in the morning
- Perform inventory checks, restock shelves, manage returns, and process incoming merchandise
- Implement merchandising standards to create an engaging and visually appealing shopping environment
- Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere for all customers
- Enhance the customer experience by adding joy to their shopping journey
- Utilize our products to narrate stories that resonate with customers
- Engage with customers actively on the sales floor
- Curate tailored product selections for each individual customer
- Exemplify Indigo's High Performance Characteristics
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, and programs
- Contribute to a culture of health and safety, ensuring the well-being of customers and colleagues
- Respond promptly to customer feedback and concerns
- Hold yourself and others accountable for performance
- Take charge of your own development and provide constructive feedback to peers and leadership
- Share insights with leadership on enhancing the employee and customer experience
Qualifications
- Experience in specialty retail or a similar environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to adapt, learn, and engage with all aspects of the store
- Demonstrated dedication to providing an outstanding employee and customer experience
- Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
- Capability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, using appropriate safety measures
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required for positions in certain regions; proficiency in other languages is a plus
